Besides the Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot apps, Diri works with AI tools that run on your own computer, such as Claude Code, VS Code with GitHub Copilot and Cursor, and with your own scripts. Bring your own AI must be activated for your organisation first: see Getting started.
There are two ways to connect: by signing in, like the apps, or with a personal access token.
claude mcp add --transport http diri https://app.diri.ai/mcp (use your own Diri address if your organisation has one)./mcp and choose to sign in to Diri. Approve the connection in your browser.A token is a key you make in Diri and give to a tool. Use it for tools that can't sign in, and for scripts.
A token can never do more than you can, it expires within 90 days, and you or an administrator can revoke it at any time under Import & AI > Tokens. Treat it like a password: don't paste it into documents, chats or shared files.
Any tool that connects to MCP servers over HTTP can use Diri with the server address and the header shown under Other tools in the Connect your AI tool panel.
Ask your tool: "Call diri_start and tell me where you are working and what this organisation holds."
